Music on the deck. Boardshorts 24/7.

This will be the best summer of my life,
or at least I'll try to make it like that.

I first met Michael when I was a sophomore and he was a freshman. He
transferred into my 2nd period history class from Curley. He had a purple
devil's lock and Misfits patches. We spoke and it went historically. He came
out for soccer the next year and was instantly my wing man. It was funny,
when I was a senior he was always regarded as a senior, or at least higher
than other juniors. If seniors didn't run, he didn't run. It worked out. We
ate lunch together for three years.

I'm proud of the kind young man he has become.

Enough gaying out. Go see Brick, he jumps really high with his guitar.

Always rushing, always late.

I went through the drive thru at Starbucks. I went to the rush doctors at Patient First. I stopped in two bars, one show. There's a rotating sushi bar with pre made sushi. There are "carry out" sections in grocery stores. Microwaveable grilled cheese, instant mac and cheese. Why am I always rushing?

In case anybody was wondering like me, the spelling in Fully Flared is correct vs. the spelling in Mosaic. It is, in fact, Pappalardo, not Poppalardo like in most old Alien Workshop ads.

Anyway, I felt pretty awesome for having a question of the day after sending roughly 35 questions to them. Fuck yeah for being a skateboard nerd.

There's an artist names Alex Kopps who did a series of Polaroids centered
around the idea that people love something dearly, for a brief amount of
time, and then are completely over it. The series featured 48 photos of
discarded Christmas trees during the three weeks that followed Christmas
2005. So good.

That's where I'd prefer to be.

tuesday morning

I got to work at 7:45. Which means 8 hours will be at...4:15? I think. Not
too bad. Yesterday I worked 7:20am to 6:15pm. 10.15 hours. I'm pretty used
to having short hair again, it makes the mornings easier. My head gets cold,
but it's fine. I'm thinking about starting a blog about skating and
potentially having it linked to this blog. If I could, I'd scan in all the
old Transworld and Thrasher's I have and show people shit from when I
started skating and how much the weird little industry has changed.

In England a little kid (13) is a father. What the fuck? When I was 13...I
was skating. I was heavily into Blink 182, Jimmy Eat World, etc. and I wore
checkered shoes. wait, is 13 8th grade? or 9th? Either way, I'd have either
Vans Cab 5's (super ugly if anybody can find a picture) or Vans Rowley XLT's
and DVS Reactors. I can remember every shoe I've worn over the years, it's
really dumb. But I digress...I could not be a father. In no way could I (now
or then). That's nutty. I was still learning algebra, how could I be
socially responsible for a small human being. So weird.

Mmmm. Coffee at work isn't bad today.

I'm sitting at my desk again. Another day in another week. I just downloaded
the Title Fight's Kingston EP because everybody has told me to. Literally.
Everybody.

Do you ever have shit stuck in your throat and you can't cough it up?
Everytime you cough it up you swallow before you get the chance to spit it
out. I have that going on right now. Unpleasant.

It's getting warmer out. I drove with the windows down. I turned on Saves
The Day really loud and was content with everything.

Hopefully it'll stay warm so we can sit on the deck finally.
